Update 1.16.0
Patch notes are written in English only — the same text the game shows in every language.
Helbreath Evolution now speaks Korean. The whole game — interface, items, spells, maps, quests and NPC dialogue — plus the entire website and the emails we send you, are available in a fifth language. Pick the Korean flag in F12 or in the launcher. English, Spanish, Portuguese and French play exactly as they did before. You must update your client to log in; the launcher does it for you, just hit PLAY.
New
- Korean is now a fully playable language. The interface, the HUD, item and spell names, maps, quests, shops, the auction house, the bank, party, guild and chat messages, the login and server messages and all 44 files of NPC dialogue are translated. The client ships its own Korean font, so nothing is left as empty space or as a box.
- The 14 city NPCs and the arena announcer speak Korean. 60 newly recorded voice clips, cast one voice at a time by ear — the same treatment the Spanish, Portuguese and French voices got.
- Korean grammar is respected, not simulated. Item prefixes are not moved to the back of the name and they do not inherit a gender that Korean does not have, and the HUD says 레벨 and 경험치 instead of LV and EXP.
- The launcher is in Korean too, with the Korean flag next to the other four.
- helbreathevolution.com is now available in five languages. The home page, the cash shop, the rankings, the account pages, the terms and the entire wiki — every item, monster, map and talent page — read in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French or Korean. Item, spell and map names come straight from the game, so what you search for on the site is what you see in your client.
- Verification and password-reset emails arrive in your language.
Improved
- Button and label art is baked in every language. The words on buttons, panels and character cards are drawn as art, one version per language, instead of English art with text laid on top — so the Korean, French, Portuguese and Spanish screens look as finished as the English one.
- The main menu, the login screen and the rest of the pre-game screens are translated.
- Message popups — Connecting, Connection Lost, Change Password and the rest — now use the same dark gold-trimmed panel as the Log In and Select Character screens, instead of the old wooden frame.
- The spell book reads in its gothic typeface again; the font is now chosen by what the text actually contains.
- Stack counts in your bag are easier to read: the number has a black outline instead of a dark pill, so small icons like potions and gold are no longer hidden behind their own count.
- The wiki now publishes the game's current numbers — drop rates, prices and item weights were thirteen balance changes behind.
- Gold values and drop odds on the site use your language's own number format, and eight item and spell names that were still in English now say what the game says.
- The site header no longer wraps onto two rows on laptop-sized windows.
Fixed
- Ice spells no longer freeze you or your allies while Safe Attack Mode is on.
- A font file that is missing or cannot be read no longer wipes out every piece of text in the client: the previous font stays, and you can still reach F12 to change it back.
- Text that had to be shortened no longer gets cut in the middle of a character, and labels and panels that used to render blank in Korean now show their text.
- Unused legacy art was removed from the installer package.
