Version 1.6.0 - The game now speaks your language, 2v2 Arenas and a rebuilt wiki
Patch notes are written in English only — the same text the game shows in every language.
The biggest update so far. The whole client is now translated into four languages, 2v2 Arenas are live with their own ladder, and the wiki has been rebuilt from scratch so you can finally look up what a monster drops and what it takes to build a character. There are also real balance changes in here - read Changed before you head out.
New
- The game speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Everything you read is translated: the launcher, the login and character creation screens, the F12 menu, item and spell names, tooltips, the talent tree, quests, trade and war notices, network errors, and the city NPCs, who now greet you in your own language with their own voices. Pick your language in F12 and it changes on the spot, no restart. Accented letters were added to the game font, so nothing renders as garbage.
- 2v2 Arenas. Queue up, get matched, and fight in a sealed arena with its own ruleset: no Recall, no AMP, and three uses of Invisibility per player per match. There is a public ladder with a proper rating system, a match HUD, an announcer, and six named arenas. The full ruleset is on the wiki.
- The wiki has been rebuilt. Monster pages now show what actually drops, in three categories, with real per-kill odds instead of vague hints - and hovering any item shows its picture, stats and requirements. Click an item to see which monsters drop it. The item catalogue shows pictures too, and hides the leftovers you can never obtain. The build calculator now enforces the real caps and answers the question you actually have: what level and how many rebirths a build needs. Every page was checked against live game data, and it finally works on a phone.
- Aftershock. Your Earth spells now crack the ground, and the cracked area keeps pulsing: anything standing in it when a pulse fires takes damage, resisted by each target on its own. Deep Tremor pulses faster and one extra time.
- You can play several characters from the same account at the same time, as long as they are on the same side. Logging in with a second character no longer disconnects the first.
- Joining the weaker city now grants +20% experience for 7 days, and new players are told when a city is overpopulated. Changing city is now an instant service in the Coin Shop instead of a ticket item - it costs less toward the weaker side, is closed toward the dominant one, and your faction updates without relogging.
- One email address can now hold several accounts. Password recovery by email sends a single message listing every account on that address, each with its own reset link.
- You can save your account name at the login screen and create up to 6 characters.
Changed
- Shields were unified. Every shield effect now feeds one pool that absorbs before your health, shows as a golden section on your HP bar, and appears as a single yellow aura whatever talent granted it. Berserk turned blood red so the two can never be confused. Resolve now triggers on burst damage - take half your Max HP within 5 seconds and you gain a shield worth 25% of your Max HP, lasting exactly 5 seconds.
- Elemental and magic absorption now add up under a single 80% ceiling. Stacking armour and shield can no longer make you immune to physical damage.
- Upgrading armour and shields with Merien Stones now grants Defense Ratio and flat physical damage reduction, and the tooltip shows both. Weapon tooltips highlight bonus damage in green.
- Critical attacks were reworked. Axe criticals now behave the way the weapon class implies, and the numbers are consistent across weapons.
- Monsters got smarter and tougher. They chase properly, walk home when lured too far, turn to fight if you hit them on the way back, and find their way out when boxed in. They keep regenerating while poisoned, frozen or held. Dragons and Sorceresses tear through magic protections and keep casting instead of closing in; other casters will close the distance and hit you physically rather than waste a spell on Absolute Magic Protection.
- The Fire Sword is now a level 100 unique short sword: base damage 8, Falchion-grade full swing, unique upgrade odds, +100 Magic Hit Ratio, and a flame burst on critical hits that costs a flat share of your maximum mana and feeds mana back every third consecutive strike.
- All +2 weapons that drop now go to your Item Drops list instead of falling on the floor.
- Haste now grants a clean +24% movement speed.
- The Resurrection Wand takes up your special ability slot for 20 minutes and shows its cooldown. You can no longer wear two special-ability items at once - equipping a second one takes the first off. The Resurrection spell now costs 385 mana.
- Monsters turn translucent when you stand behind them, so nobody can hide inside a dragon. Players hidden by Invisibility do not give themselves away.
- The Warehouse stacks identical items into a single row.
- The Necklace of Beholder now marks you with a watching eye above your head instead of a full-body aura.
- While the game window is focused, hotkeys registered by other applications no longer fire, so every key reaches the game instead of an external tool.
- You can no longer party with another character from your own account, in a normal party or in the Global Party.
- The client now sends an anonymized installation fingerprint - a hash, nothing personal - used only to detect opposing-side accounts played from the same machine at the same time.
- The server no longer bans IP addresses on its own. Connection limits still apply, but they only refuse the connection and lift as soon as there is room.
- Hunger no longer slows your regeneration; it only stops it entirely once you are starving.
Fixed
- Rebirth now correctly grants its +3 stat points per rebirth - they were lost when you spent them or logged back in. Majestics are no longer wiped during Rebirth Mode, and low-level monsters no longer give zero experience at high rebirth counts.
- Expensive unique weapons can be repaired again. They used to become permanently unusable once their durability ran low.
- The upgrade panel shows the real success chance for unique items (70% at +1) instead of the common-weapon 35%.
- Physical Absorption on shields now actually reduces damage, and Defense Ratio bonuses are counted where they should be.
- Area spells no longer deal different damage at the centre and at the edge.
- Ground-targeted spells no longer fire in the wrong direction when cast while moving.
- Storm Bringer no longer leaves a lingering storm on the ground, credits kills properly, and no longer hits your own party.
- Safe Attack Mode now also stops Earth Shock Wave and Armor-Break from draining your allies' stamina and wearing down their armour.
- Minor Berserk and Berserk are no longer the same spell.
- The Fire talent's burn no longer stays lit forever on enemies you walked away from.
- Spell visual effects no longer go missing, including the very first cast after logging in, and effects cast from off-screen are now visible when they land in your view. More effects can be shown at once in large fights.
- Special ability auras render at their intended brightness, and each item shows its own aura instead of borrowing another's.
- Removed 154 tiles of invisible wall across 10 maps, including the one in Death Valley near (128,132) where bare grass blocked your path.
- Dungeon floors no longer show black square patches.
- Alt-tabbing while running no longer desyncs your character and footprints.
- Logging in no longer re-downloads the whole item catalogue every time, and the lag spikes when looting with a full Item Drops list or emptying your mailbox are gone.
- The spell book no longer closes your chat when you open it mid-sentence, and Ctrl+0-9 opens it at a specific circle even while typing.
- Item tooltips no longer print the same name twice. Buff timers show days, hours and minutes instead of raw seconds.
- Low-level quests no longer disappear from the quest browser as your contribution grows.
- The Necklace of Thirst has its own icon instead of borrowing the Necklace of Merien's.
- Barbarian Hammer drops with random attributes again.
- Fixed several rare server crashes during combat and when many players gathered in one area, and a client crash when equipping an item after dropping an equipped one.
- Fixed the "You are no longer poisoned!" message showing on every death.
- The Beholder eye no longer blinks.
