Your eight bindable keys
Evolution gives you a pool of keys that are yours to shape. Bind an activatable talent skill to the ones you press mid-fight, and a quick message to the rest. Your binds are saved with your settings, so they survive a relog.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Q E R T F Z X C | Eight keys that are yours. Each one holds ONE action: an activatable skill from your talent tree, or a quick message to your allies. |
| H | Open the bind menu and pick what each key does. Pressing an empty key opens the menu right on it. |
| E (default) | Adaptive Guard — switch between offense and defense |
| R (default) | Elemental Focus — switch between fire and ice |
Quick messages
A quick message pops a banner over your head that only allies of your side who are on screen can read — the fastest way to call a fight without typing. One every five seconds.
| Message | What it calls |
|---|---|
| AMP | Ask your allies for a magic amplification |
| Off | Warn that the enemy has no amplification up |
| Attack | Call the attack |
| Help | Ask for help |
Mouse modifiers
| Combo | Action |
|---|---|
| Hold Alt | Super attack mode — your next swing goes for the big hit |
| Alt + right click on the minimap | Drop a ping your party and guild can see |
| Ctrl + click in the world | Attack whatever is under the cursor, ally or not |
| Ctrl + click in the inventory | Equip the whole stack under the cursor |
| Hold Ctrl | The HUD shows your rest experience instead of your coordinates |
| Hold Shift | Show the names of items lying on the floor, and monster info under the cursor |
| Shift + click an item on the floor | Quick pickup (if you turned it on in the system menu) |
| Shift + drag in the inventory | Move a whole stack at once |
| Ctrl + mouse wheel | Scroll five times faster in the chat history and the talent tree |
Chat commands
Press Enter to open the chat line and type these. They all start with a slash, and upper or lower case makes no difference. The client suggests them as you type. These ten are the whole player set — anything else you may have seen is a game master command and will simply do nothing for you.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/to <CharName> | Turn whisper mode on toward that player: everything you type next goes to them until you turn it off. It does not send a message on the same line — /to Bob hello whispers nothing. Type /to on its own to go back to normal chat. |
/party <CharName> | Ask to join that player's party. You have to be partyless yourself; for them to join yours, they type /party with your name. |
/mcount | Show how many monsters are still alive on your map |
/block <CharName> | Block that player: you stop seeing their chat and their whispers. |
/unblock <CharName> | Remove them from your block list |
/mute <CharName> | Same as /block |
/unmute <CharName> | Same as /unblock |
/rep+ <CharName> | Give a point of reputation to a player who deserved it |
/rep- <CharName> | Take a point of reputation away |
/traderep <CharName> | Offer a mutual reputation trade — they have to accept it |
Talking on a channel
Start a line with one of these symbols and it goes to that channel instead of to the people around you. The chat history (F9) can filter by channel afterwards.
| Prefix | Channel |
|---|---|
@ message | Guild |
$ message | Party |
% message | Trade |
! message | Shout — everyone nearby hears it |
~ message | Your whole nation |
^ message | The dead |
