War Comes to the Realm
Events
Two events run on the live server, and both are on a fixed schedule you can plan your week around: the double experience windows, and the Apocalypse, where the realm stops fighting itself long enough to face Abaddon.
EXP Double Event Live
For an hour and a half, every monster in the world is worth twice the experience. It runs three times a week, on a rotation deliberately spread across the week and the clock so that nobody's timezone gets left out: a weekday morning, a Friday evening and a Sunday afternoon. There is nothing to sign up for and nowhere to travel to — the server announces it to everyone and the bonus applies wherever you are hunting. If you are pushing a level, this is the window to hoard your potions for.
| Day | Starts | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday | 09:30 | 1h 30m |
| Friday | 20:00 | 1h 30m |
| Sunday | 14:00 | 1h 30m |
Apocalypse — the coming of Abaddon Live
Once a week the deep maps open and the Apocalypse begins: a twelve-hour window in which a chain of infernal grounds — Infernia, Procella, the Maze and the halls beyond — can be entered, and only then. The event is a countdown made of corpses. Clear the horde on a map and the way onward opens; clear the next and, when the last of them falls, Abaddon itself appears.
You are never guessing how close you are: a counter on your HUD tells the whole server how many monsters are still standing between it and Abaddon. Bringing that number to zero takes a crowd, and killing what walks in after it takes a better one. It is the one fight on this server that no build, however finished, wins alone.
| Opens | Closes | Rotation |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 16:30 | Sunday 04:30 | Every other week |
| Sunday 00:30 | Sunday 12:30 | The weeks in between |
Why events matter
Events are where the server plays together instead of in parallel. A double experience window is the cheapest level you will ever gain; an Apocalypse is the only content sized for everyone online at once. Both are also the fastest way to meet the people you will end up guilding with — showing up is most of it.
